About Assembly
Assembly is a seven-page creative conference template with a yellow-and-black poster identity, oversized Archivo Black type and an original radial emblem. Its programme is the main working feature: visitors can combine filters, save sessions on their own browser and export a small calendar file. Speaker monograms and a schematic venue drawing are original artwork, with no external photographs.
Best suited to: Small creative conferences, meetups and workshops that need a readable programme, useful speaker information and an optional external ticket link.

What’s in the design
- The homepage uses a typographic event poster, original radial emblem, selected programme entries and a six-name speaker index.
- The programme contains twelve entries over two days: eight saveable sessions and four breaks. Visitors can combine day, track and text filters with a saved-only view.
- Saved session IDs remain in this browser under a scoped localStorage key. The count updates across pages and tabs. Clear saved sessions resets the agenda; unavailable storage falls back to the current page.
- Export saved sessions downloads a standards-formatted .ics file with UTC times. No invitations are sent. Print full programme includes every entry regardless of active filters.
- One featured session has a full separate page. Other sessions have inline notes in the programme; six fictional speakers have detailed profiles and linked session times on Speakers.
- Venue includes an original illustrative plan and practical planning notes. Tickets describes sample passes and can link to an external HTTPS ticket provider; no checkout is included.

How the agenda, calendar and tickets work
The agenda stores selected session IDs locally in the current browser, with no account, backend or cross-device sync. The downloadable calendar includes only selected sessions with explicit UTC timestamps; it does not send invitations. Dates and timezone copy are fictional and must be updated together before using this for a real event.
Tickets displays two illustrative pass types, not a checkout. Configure an optional HTTPS ticketURL in src/site.ts to show an external provider link. No payments, inventory, registration, ticket emails or QR entry are included. The [email protected] mailbox cannot receive email.
Set up the Astro edition
Extract the source ZIP and run these commands from its folder:
npm ci
npm run dev
npm run check
npm run build
The build produces a dist/ folder for static hosting. The source includes its shared template kit under vendor/template-kit, so it builds independently of our development workspace. Astro 7.4.4 and the Astro checker 0.9.12 are pinned; TypeScript 6.0.3 is the latest supported by that checker’s declared peer range.
Before you launch
- Choose HTML for direct file editing or Astro for shared layouts and source-driven content.
- Replace the fictional identity, email, address and programme, dates, timezone, speakers, venue and prices with accurate event information.
- Edit src/site.ts for days, sessions, speakers and optional HTTPS ticket/directions links.
- Keep session IDs unique; update calendar dates, day labels, time references and the local agenda storage key when creating a new event edition.
- Add and test your external ticket provider URL if selling tickets. This static template does not handle purchases or registrations.
- Set PUBLIC_SITE_URL to the real domain/folder URL with a trailing slash when building Astro. This generates canonical/social URLs, robots.txt and a 6-page sitemap. Leave PUBLIC_PREVIEW unset for production.
- Upload the complete HTML folder or Astro dist/ contents. Configure the host to return 404.html with HTTP 404 for unknown URLs.
A static event website with no registration, ticket inventory, checkout, email delivery or cloud agenda. There is one separate session detail page; other session descriptions are inline. Calendar times use UTC.
License and assets
The original template code is released under the included MIT license. It permits personal and commercial use; retain the license notice when redistributing the code. Visible footer attribution is optional.
The emblem, speaker monograms, venue drawing and share artwork are original MIT-licensed assets. No external photography or reference-site imagery is included. Archivo Black and Public Sans use the SIL Open Font License; complete notices are included in both downloads. SIL Open Font License. Full asset credits.
Release verification
Both release archives were extracted and inspected. Each standalone source passed a clean npm ci, Astro check and production build outside our workspace, and its HTML output matched the HTML edition byte for byte. Optional external provider links and production metadata were tested in the extracted source. All pages fit a 320px viewport. Local Lighthouse runs across all pages on mobile and representative desktop pages scored 99–100 performance and 100 automated accessibility; these are lab results, not a full accessibility certification.
