Residential property.

A clear starting point for discussing a proposed service.

Describe the service you want to discuss.

A first conversation can establish the broad type of transaction or review you have in mind and whether the provider offers the relevant service. It should also make clear how a further discussion would be arranged.

This page illustrates the information a practice could present about its residential-property service. It does not set out legal steps, rights, deadlines or advice for a particular property.

Questions for the initial discussion.

Which work is proposed?

Ask how the provider defines the service and which parts of the matter would be included or excluded from its proposed scope.

Who will be involved?

Confirm who would handle the work, who is available for practical questions and how responsibilities are explained.

What is the fee basis?

Ask how the estimate is presented, what assumptions it uses and which expenses or separate services may need explanation.

How is information shared?

Ask for the provider’s approved route before supplying any requested documents or confidential information.

Make assumptions and exclusions visible.

A useful written scope distinguishes the proposed work from separate professional inputs and other arrangements. It should explain how the provider will discuss any change in scope or estimate.

Understand what happens after an enquiry.

Ask how the initial conversation, suitability checks and any engagement paperwork are handled by the actual provider. An enquiry through this demonstration does not create an appointment or professional relationship.

Keep the first contact general.

The contact form uses fixed service and contact-preference options. It has no field for a case narrative, address of the property, transaction documents or private financial information.

Illustrative service scope only. No property assessment, transaction advice, legal document, fixed quotation or instruction to act is supplied.
