Accounting & bookkeeping · a fictional practice[email protected]

A practice built around the work.

A clear brief, a consistent routine and room for your questions.

The Balance House approach

Begin with a better understanding.

Running a business creates plenty of practical work. Records arrive in different places, questions take time to resolve and the handover between people can be unclear.

Our practice concept makes the arrangement visible. We describe the support, agree what is involved and make the next step easy to find.

This is a fictional practice. No staff profiles, professional memberships, client results or years of experience are claimed. A real practice must publish accurate information about the people responsible for its work.

Working together

Make the arrangement understandable.

A named point of contact.

Agree who you will speak to, which channel to use and how questions will be gathered. Any response expectations should be confirmed by the real practice.

A documented scope.

Put the work, period, information requirements, responsibilities and fee basis in writing. Additional work needs a separate discussion.

An appropriate handover.

Private financial or employee records belong in a secure, agreed process. A public website enquiry is only a place to introduce the work.

Before an engagement

Useful things to confirm.

These are conversation prompts for choosing a service, not professional or regulatory advice.
