Come with questions. Leave with a next step.
You do not need to send your records to make a useful first enquiry.
A practical preparation list.
Use these prompts to outline the work you want to discuss. Keep private documents out of the website enquiry and agree a secure route with the real provider.
Ticks are temporary on this page. No checklist data is sent or saved to browser storage. Your browser may retain form state during navigation; use Clear ticks to reset it.
Questions worth asking.
What should the first enquiry include?
Your contact details, business type and the support you want to discuss are enough to begin. Avoid bank details, tax identifiers, employee information and documents.
Do I need to choose a plan first?
No. The plans are examples of how scope and fee basis can be explained. A real practice should understand the work before proposing a suitable arrangement.
Can I ask about a previous period?
Yes, describe the period you want to discuss without sharing records in the enquiry. Catch-up work needs its own scope and cannot be assumed to fit an ongoing monthly package.
How should private documents be shared?
Ask your provider to explain its secure process, access arrangements and document-handling terms. This static template includes no upload area or client portal.
Who is responsible for submissions?
That needs to be explicitly agreed in the engagement terms. The sample website does not approve, prepare or file returns, and none of its enquiry actions starts an engagement.
What if the amount of work changes?
Ask how record volume is measured and when scope changes are discussed. Any extra work, fee changes or new responsibilities should be agreed with your provider.
