Your first lesson

Bring your questions.
We’ll start there.

A little preparation can make the first conversation easier. This sheet gathers questions; it does not teach driving.

First-lesson conversation sheet

Write down the points you want to discuss. Ask the school what to prepare and what to bring.

  1. Which transmission would I like to discuss?

  2. What previous lesson experience would be useful to mention?

  3. Which broad area would be convenient?

  4. Which days and times usually suit me?

  5. How will the lesson length and price be confirmed?

  6. What preparation or documents should I ask the school about?

  7. How will progress and the next lesson be discussed?

  8. What are the cancellation and package terms?

Keep personal documents private. Do not email licence numbers, date of birth, medical information or copies of documents through this website. Arrange any necessary verification directly with the actual school.

After the conversation

Make sure you understand the course, instructor, vehicle, meeting point, duration, cost and cancellation terms before agreeing a lesson. If something is unclear, ask for it in writing.
