About Bramwell Freight
Bramwell Freight uses navy, white and rust, locally served Bramwell Sans and a classic business layout. A contact strip and conventional navigation sit above a solid title band and broad transport photograph. Service cards lead to substantial road-freight and warehousing pages, while industry information and preparation resources make the site useful beyond the homepage.
Best suited to: Independent freight, warehousing and distribution operators presenting verified capabilities, service responsibilities and general customer enquiries.

What’s in the design
- The Services page combines service-type and case-insensitive keyword filters, with a live result count, reset and empty state. Three records cover road freight, warehousing and distribution planning.
- Road Freight and Warehousing are complete detail pages with scope and responsibility tables, practical operator questions, exclusions and service-aware enquiry links. Distribution planning leads to an enquiry.
- Industries describes manufacturing, retail and wholesale, building products and trade-supply requirements. Coverage categories are explicitly illustrative and do not assert an operating network or transit times.
- Shipment Preparation provides eight information-gathering prompts and a browser-print layout with writing lines. It prepares an enquiry rather than giving packing, customs or regulated-goods instructions.
- Quote Enquiry supports allowed service preselection and optional cargo count, per-unit dimensions in centimetres and weight in kilograms. It validates required fields and presents an explicit email draft.
- Written content and links remain available without JavaScript. Native FAQs and the mobile menu work independently; all service records remain visible and a direct email fallback remains available.

How freight enquiries work
The form prepares an encoded mailto link for review in the visitor’s email application. No message is sent, saved, quoted, scheduled or accepted as a consignment through the site. Replace [email protected] before launch.
The first enquiry asks for broad collection and delivery areas, a general requirement and optional measurements of a typical unit. It discourages private shipping records, exact personal addresses, security details and payment information.
Only known service query values are accepted. Changing a field hides the old draft. Suitability, equipment, timing, price, responsibilities and written terms must be confirmed separately by the actual operator.
Set up the Astro edition
Extract the source ZIP and run these commands from its folder:
npm ci
npm run dev
npm run check
npm run build
The build produces a dist/ folder for static hosting. The source includes its shared template kit under vendor/template-kit, so it builds independently of our development workspace. Astro 7.4.4 and the Astro checker 0.9.12 are pinned; TypeScript 6.0.3 is the latest supported by that checker’s declared peer range.
Before you launch
- Choose HTML for direct file editing, or Astro for shared layouts and source-driven content.
- Replace company identity, contact details, service scope, industry examples and coverage with verified operator facts. Review responsibilities, exclusions and terms. Publish fleet, depot, accreditation or network information only after verification.
- Edit services, industries, checklist and FAQs in src/site.ts. Keep service IDs and enquiry selections aligned. Test combined filters, keyword empty/reset, allowed and unknown service values, required validation, optional measurement units and edited-draft invalidation.
- Replace imagery with licensed content. Keep responsive variants, intrinsic dimensions, alt text and ASSETS.md credits aligned.
- Set PUBLIC_SITE_URL to the real domain/folder URL with a trailing slash for canonical/social metadata, robots.txt and a 9-page sitemap. Leave PUBLIC_PREVIEW unset for production.
- Upload the entire HTML folder or Astro dist/. Configure unknown paths to return 404.html with HTTP 404. Test enquiries or configure a separately tested delivery route if direct sending is required.
A static business website with no shipment tracking, live rates, instant quote, stock system, booking, consignment acceptance, customs guidance, regulated-goods instruction or message-delivery backend.
License and assets
The original template code is released under the included MIT license. It permits personal and commercial use; retain the license notice when redistributing the code. Visible footer attribution is optional.

Release verification
The page inventory, screenshots and download manifests document the included layouts and assets. The HTML and independent Astro editions contain the same design and license notices. Customization requires its own accessibility, content and performance checks.
