About Foundry Fitness
Foundry Fitness is a nine-page local studio template with charcoal, orange, condensed headings and a conventional gym-website structure. Class formats, weekly sessions, first-visit information and sample memberships are easy to inspect before an enquiry. A full Strength Foundations page gives one class a useful detail view, while the timetable combines day and class-type filters.
Best suited to: Independent fitness studios and small gyms publishing a manually maintained class timetable, clear visit information and sample membership options.

What’s in the design
- Classes describes Strength Foundations, Studio Circuit and Move & Reset. Strength Foundations has one separate detail page; the other two use complete descriptive class cards.
- Twelve sample sessions span Monday to Saturday. Day and class-type filters combine, accept allowed query values, announce counts and provide reset. Sunday deliberately demonstrates an empty day.
- Timetable printing presents the full sample week even if the screen is filtered. All sessions remain readable without JavaScript; controls are revealed only after initialization.
- Memberships presents illustrative options and explains that scope, fees, terms, joining arrangements and availability require confirmation by the real studio.
- Studio and first-visit information cover the practical questions to ask about the class setting, facilities, access and joining process. A two-image native gallery supports keyboard navigation and focus return.
- Class-specific enquiry links preselect a listed format. The form prepares an email draft rather than allocating a class place, taking payment or collecting health information.

How timetable filters and visit enquiries work
Timetable filters change the current page view; they do not query live bookings or attendance. The print view shows the complete example timetable. A real studio must replace session times and confirm availability.
Allowed class links preselect the enquiry. Required contact fields use native validation, and the submit action creates an encoded mailto draft. Visitors open an email app, review and send it themselves. Nothing is sent, stored, booked or paid by the template.
Replace [email protected] before publishing. The reserved mailbox cannot receive mail. Sample memberships do not create a subscription; no health intake, exercise prescription or trainer credentials are implied.
Set up the Astro edition
Extract the source ZIP and run these commands from its folder:
npm ci
npm run dev
npm run check
npm run build
The build produces a dist/ folder for static hosting. The source includes its shared template kit under vendor/template-kit, so it builds independently of our development workspace. Astro 7.4.4 and the Astro checker 0.9.12 are pinned; TypeScript 6.0.3 is the latest supported by that checker’s declared peer range.
Before you launch
- Choose HTML for direct file editing, or Astro for shared layouts and source-driven content.
- Replace the studio details, class descriptions, timetable, sample memberships and facility/access information with verified publishing-studio facts.
- Edit classes and twelve sample sessions in src/site.ts. Keep class IDs aligned with enquiry options and query links; test combined filters, empty/reset states and full-week print output.
- Replace imagery with licensed material. Keep responsive variants, src/images.json dimensions, alt text and ASSETS.md credits aligned.
- Set PUBLIC_SITE_URL to the real root/folder URL with a trailing slash for canonical/social metadata, robots.txt and a 8-page sitemap. Leave PUBLIC_PREVIEW unset for production.
- Upload the complete HTML folder or Astro dist/. Configure unknown URLs to serve 404.html with HTTP 404. Verify email drafts or connect a separately tested delivery backend.
A static gym website with no live class capacity, attendance, member account, subscription checkout, payment processing, health intake or booking/message-delivery backend. No professional qualifications, clinical claims or physical outcomes are fabricated.

Release verification
All 9 pages fit a 320px viewport without horizontal document overflow. Enquiry validation, allowed preselection, encoded drafts, mobile-menu keyboard behavior and the template’s filters and other controls were checked. The exact standalone Astro ZIP passed clean install, check and build outside the workspace, producing HTML identical to the HTML edition. Local Lighthouse runs scored 99–100 performance and 100 automated accessibility/best practices; content-page SEO scored 100. These laboratory checks are not a full accessibility certification or real-user performance measurement.
