A practical kind of garden company.

Start with the space. Keep the conversation clear.

The Grove approach

First, understand what matters.

A garden brief begins with everyday questions. Where do you sit? What do you want to keep? Which parts need more care than you can give them?

Our fictional practice is built around those conversations. Design, planting and ongoing care can be considered together, while each stage has its own written scope and agreed responsibilities.

Grove is a template business concept. No staff profiles, qualifications, trading history, awards or completed commissions are claimed.

How the work is discussed

A clear brief helps everyone.

Useful questions.

Talk about access, the way the space is used, existing features and the changes that would make the biggest difference.

Defined responsibilities.

Make it clear who handles drawings, checks, specialist work, materials and aftercare. Confirm exclusions as well as inclusions.

Room for ongoing care.

Discuss maintenance while plans are being made. A future garden needs a realistic amount of time, access and attention.

Prepare for a first conversation.

A few notes can help: the areas you want to change, the features you value, the rough timing and the amount of care you want to take on. Exact measurements and site conditions need a proper assessment.

A real business should explain its service area, visit arrangements, scope and estimate before any work is agreed.
