Ideas, with the brief behind them.

Three illustrative ways to think about the next stage of a garden.

Garden project briefs

The courtyard brief

An illustrative brief for a smaller outdoor room: a clear route, a place to pause and planting kept within reach.

One complete separate project page; the photograph is an independent visual reference.

The long border brief

A sample planting brief that asks what to retain, how to add interest and how to keep future care manageable.

Brief only: no planting schedule or documented installation is supplied.

The care plan brief

An illustrative maintenance plan for an established garden, with agreed areas, priorities and a record of each visit.

Brief only: frequency and tasks require a real site assessment.

Discuss a similar brief

All three are demonstration briefs, not a portfolio of completed Grove work. Images show independent licensed gardens. The courtyard has one separate full project page; the planting and maintenance cards describe their scope here.

Look beyond the picture

Ask what the project needed to solve.

A useful project story explains the starting brief, constraints, choices and aftercare. For a real commission, photographs and specifications should document the same actual garden.

Use the sample briefs to describe a similar need in your own words. The final scope must come from a real site assessment.
