About Harthill Manufacturing
Harthill Manufacturing is a nine-page industrial template with steel-blue, white, silver and restrained safety-yellow. A conventional two-row header, broad workshop photograph and short solid title band lead into capability scopes and material enquiries. Local Barlow Semi Condensed and Source Sans 3 keep headings compact and body text readable.
Best suited to: Independent fabrication and manufacturing businesses that need a clear capability directory, material-review questions and a general project enquiry.

What’s in the design
- Capabilities contains four illustrative scopes: laser cutting, folding/fabrication, assembly planning and finish coordination. Process and material selections combine with count, reset and an empty state.
- Laser Cutting and Folding & Fabrication are full detail pages. Each explains scope, enquiry inputs, customer/supplier responsibilities, exclusions and what requires a project review.
- Materials & Enquiry Requirements contains a captioned three-material matrix for mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Cells are questions to clarify for cutting, forming and finishing, not compatibility decisions or engineering specifications.
- The matrix is a named keyboard-focusable horizontal scroll region with scoped column/row headings and print styles. A separate eight-point temporary preparation checklist has live checked count and clear action, with no persistence.
- Quality & Production Process describes five stages: initial conversation, requirements review, written scope, production planning and review/handover. Documentation questions identify revision control and approval responsibilities.
- Contact accepts allowed capability/material/quantity-stage preselection. Required name, email and general outline are checked before the exact draft text is displayed; editing a field hides the obsolete draft.

How manufacturing enquiries work
Submit displays a plain-text review and an encoded mailto link using actual line breaks. The visitor chooses whether to open and send it in an email app. Replace [email protected] before use.
Quantity is a descriptive prototype, batch or possible-repeat stage. Timing is an optional preference. No numeric production capacity, lead time, material suitability, price or order acceptance is calculated.
The site has no drawing upload or confidential technical intake. Agree a secure document route with the actual supplier. Checklist ticks are temporary, with no deliberate browser storage or backend. A browser may restore ordinary form values; Clear checklist resets all marks.
Set up the Astro edition
Extract the source ZIP and run these commands from its folder:
npm ci
npm run dev
npm run check
npm run build
The build produces a dist/ folder for static hosting. The source includes its shared template kit under vendor/template-kit, so it builds independently of our development workspace. Astro 7.4.4 and the Astro checker 0.9.12 are pinned; TypeScript 6.0.3 is the latest supported by that checker’s declared peer range.
Before you launch
- Choose HTML for direct file editing, or Astro for shared layouts and source-driven content.
- Replace capability scopes, material prompts, process responsibilities, contact details and premises information with substantiated business facts. Publish credentials or capacities only after independent verification.
- Edit capabilities, material prompts and checklist in src/site.ts. Keep Contact selects and src/browser.js preselection allowlists aligned. Verify process/material empty/reset, checklist/print and draft review.
- Replace imagery with licensed content. Keep responsive variants, intrinsic dimensions, alt text and ASSETS.md credits aligned.
- Set PUBLIC_SITE_URL to the real domain/folder URL with a trailing slash for canonical/social metadata, robots.txt and a 8-page sitemap. Leave PUBLIC_PREVIEW unset for production.
- Upload the entire HTML folder or Astro dist/. Configure unknown paths to return 404.html with HTTP 404. Test enquiries or configure a separately tested delivery route if direct sending is required.
A static manufacturing website with no engineering assessment, compatibility calculation, CAD upload, secure document intake, automatic quotation, order placement, certifications, tolerances, numerical machine capacities or delivery backend.

Release verification
The page inventory and screenshots document the included layouts. The HTML and independent Astro editions contain the same design, local assets and license notices. Build, browser and laboratory-audit evidence is kept with the release source. Automated scores do not establish complete accessibility compliance or guarantee performance after customization.
