About Mere Spa

Mere Spa pairs chalk and muted rose with cocoa text, local serif headings and familiar navigation. Its home page combines a broad pool photograph with a smaller treatment image; inner pages use practical treatment rows, duration and per-person price facts, inclusion tables and first-visit information. The offer is an explicitly fictional example, ready for a real operator’s verified content.

Best suited to: Independent day spas presenting treatment scope, visit options, facilities and practical first-visit questions.

What’s in the design

  • Treatments lists three sample appointments. Category and duration filters combine, announce the number shown, support reset and provide a useful empty state; the complete list remains visible without JavaScript.
  • A quiet hour and The everyday facial have full detail pages, including appointment sequence, illustrative duration, GBP per-person price, separate items and questions to agree before booking. The shorter Back & shoulders option leads to an enquiry rather than a third full detail.
  • Spa Days compares two illustrative visits in a captioned, scoped-header table: up to three hours at £85 per person and up to four hours at £120 per person. Treatment time, pool access, robe/towel and drink inclusions are shown; food is separate.
  • Facilities presents four captioned photographs with direct image links and a keyboard modal viewer. Previous/Next buttons, arrow keys, Escape and return focus support browsing; the images do not verify a single physical spa.
  • First Visit covers arrival, packing, access and treatment questions. Its print control expands the native FAQ sections for printing, then restores their earlier state.
  • Visit Enquiry accepts only included treatment, spa-day and access context values. Editing any field hides an older prepared draft, so visitors review the current form contents.

Verified page layouts

These 10 pages are included in both archives. Each link opens the live preview.

How spa enquiries work

The form uses native validation and prepares an encoded mailto draft. A separate link lets the visitor open, review and choose whether to send it in an email app. It does not deliver a message, book a treatment or reserve a spa day. Replace [email protected] before use.

The page asks visitors to leave out medical history, health information and payment details. Any treatment suitability conversation must use the real operator’s appropriate private channel.

Treatments, facilities, prices, inclusions, location and photography are illustrative. No treatment benefit, medical assessment, team qualification, access provision or live appointment availability is asserted.

Set up the Astro edition

Extract the source ZIP and run these commands from its folder:

npm ci
npm run dev
npm run check
npm run build

The build produces a dist/ folder for static hosting. The source includes its shared template kit under vendor/template-kit, so it builds independently of our development workspace. Astro 7.4.4 and the Astro checker 0.9.12 are pinned; TypeScript 6.0.3 is the latest supported by that checker’s declared peer range.

Before you launch

  • Choose HTML for direct file editing, or Astro for shared layouts and source-driven content.
  • Replace treatments, prices, inclusions, arrival instructions, location, hours, cancellation terms and access details with the real operator’s verified information. Use photographs that represent the actual spa and agree the appropriate private suitability process.
  • Edit treatments and FAQs in src/site.ts; maintain category, duration, detail links and enquiry options together. Test combined filters and reset/empty states, modal keyboard/focus behaviour, printed FAQs, allowlisted enquiry preselection, native validation and stale-draft invalidation.
  • Replace imagery with licensed content. Keep responsive variants, intrinsic dimensions, alt text and ASSETS.md credits aligned.
  • Set PUBLIC_SITE_URL to the real domain/folder URL with a trailing slash for canonical/social metadata, robots.txt and a 9-page sitemap. Leave PUBLIC_PREVIEW unset for production.
  • Upload the entire HTML folder or Astro dist/. Configure unknown paths to return 404.html with HTTP 404. Test enquiries or configure a separately tested delivery route if direct sending is required.

A static website with no booking calendar, live availability, payment, gift-card sale, treatment suitability assessment, medical intake, verified facility/access statement or message-delivery backend.

Release verification

The page inventory, screenshots and download manifests document the included layouts and assets. The HTML and independent Astro editions contain the same design and license notices. Customization requires its own accessibility, content and performance checks.

Version 1.0.0, reviewed 30 October 2026. Live preview. Plain HTML checksum. Standalone Astro source checksum. Mere Spa is fictional. Treatments, durations, prices, spa-day inclusions, location and visit arrangements are illustrative; photographs depict separately photographed settings.
