About Open House Workspace
Open House Workspace is a nine-page coworking template with a white/blue workplace identity, locally served Open House Sans and a conventional navigation. A compact introduction above a broad office photograph leads to a practical space directory. Four sample arrangements, two complete room details and a rate comparison distinguish a desk-day, desk-month, office-month and room-hour.
Best suited to: Independent coworking operators and small serviced-workspace businesses presenting desk, office and meeting arrangements.

What’s in the design
- Spaces contains four examples: day desk, dedicated desk, private office and meeting room. Type and minimum people controls combine with announced count, empty state and reset. Sample capacities are one, one, four and six respectively.
- Private Office and Meeting Room each have complete detail pages with proposed inclusions, terms to confirm and a contextual enquiry. The two desk arrangements remain directory scopes.
- Memberships compares illustrative GBP rates with explicit units: £25/person/day, £225/desk/month, from £680/office-room/month and from £24/meeting-room/hour. These are not quotations or live inventory.
- The Workspace explains the fictional place and includes licensed office images in a native image viewer. Photographs do not verify a real operator’s facilities or access.
- Visit & FAQs covers arrival, sample hours and questions about memberships, guests, access and viewing a space. A real operator must supply accurate site-specific details.
- Contact preselects included space IDs and supports optional people and a preferred weekday. It validates required contact details and a general question before preparing an email draft.

How coworking space enquiries work
The default contact action creates a reviewable mailto draft in the visitor’s email app. Nothing is sent, stored, booked or accepted as a membership by the website. Replace [email protected] before publishing.
The space finder filters the included written examples by type and sample people count. It does not check occupancy, availability, permitted use or actual room suitability.
A real operator must confirm room identity, access hours, facilities, pricing, tax treatment, commitments and cancellation terms before a visitor makes plans or pays.
Set up the Astro edition
Extract the source ZIP and run these commands from its folder:
npm ci
npm run dev
npm run check
npm run build
The build produces a dist/ folder for static hosting. The source includes its shared template kit under vendor/template-kit, so it builds independently of our development workspace. Astro 7.4.4 and the Astro checker 0.9.12 are pinned; TypeScript 6.0.3 is the latest supported by that checker’s declared peer range.
Before you launch
- Choose HTML for direct file editing, or Astro for shared layouts and source-driven content.
- Replace space descriptions, capacities, rate units, inclusions, terms, address, hours and access information with verified operator details. Do not present stock spaces as owned premises.
- Edit four space records and FAQ content in src/site.ts. Keep type/capacity values and Contact options aligned. Verify combined filters, empty/reset, room enquiry selection, viewer keys and the rate table.
- Replace imagery with licensed content. Keep responsive variants, intrinsic dimensions, alt text and ASSETS.md credits aligned.
- Set PUBLIC_SITE_URL to the real domain/folder URL with a trailing slash for canonical/social metadata, robots.txt and a 8-page sitemap. Leave PUBLIC_PREVIEW unset for production.
- Upload the entire HTML folder or Astro dist/. Configure unknown paths to return 404.html with HTTP 404. Test enquiries or configure a separately tested delivery route if direct sending is required.
A static workspace website without live room inventory, reservation, membership contract, payment, access control, verified accessibility, occupancy assessment or message-delivery backend.
License and assets
The original template code is released under the included MIT license. It permits personal and commercial use; retain the license notice when redistributing the code. Visible footer attribution is optional.
Workspace/meeting photographs by Pixabay and office photography by Polina Zimmerman are separately licensed: the workspace/office sources retain the Pexels License, while the meeting-room source is marked CC0. They do not depict Open House premises or facilities. Open House Sans is a renamed OFL subset derivative of DM Sans with full notices. Original source and identity are MIT. Pexels License. Release verification
The page inventory and screenshots document the included layouts. The HTML and independent Astro editions contain the same design, local assets and license notices. Build, browser and laboratory-audit evidence is kept with the release source. Automated scores do not establish complete accessibility compliance or guarantee performance after customization.
