A practical approach to moving.
A removal plan should be easy to understand: what is moving, who is doing each part, and what has been agreed.

Good organisation, before the boxes.
Porter & Lane is a fictional removals business created to demonstrate a useful local service website. Its approach begins with an inventory and a conversation about the two places involved.
A clear plan makes room for the less obvious details: a shared entrance, a long walk from the van, a desk needed first at the new office, or a gap between collection and delivery.
The service pages are written around those decisions, rather than promises about speed or price.
What belongs in a moving plan?
A shared inventory
Identify the rooms, the main furniture and anything unusually heavy, delicate or valuable. Say what will not be moved, too.
Named responsibilities
Agree who packs, dismantles, arranges parking, handles IT or appliances, meets the crew and checks the rooms.
Written arrangements
The quote and terms should identify scope, cost basis, dates, exclusions and what happens if circumstances change.
Ask the questions before move day.
Request the real operator’s contact details, applicable terms and any relevant cover information. Discuss what documentation you need, who to contact with a change and how concerns will be handled.
This template does not establish a trading history, accreditation, insurance policy or customer review. A business using it should publish only information it can substantiate.

The belongings, the access and your preferred dates are a useful place to start.
